Reimagining Purcell

– Elizabeth Smith, Chairman, Purcell
To achieve this goal, we worked closely with Rabbithole: a design studio who partner with organisations within arts, culture, music and architecture to create distinct and purposeful work. Their values aligned with our own and following a highly collaborative process of strategic thinking and creative design, we are immensley proud of the result.
Refreshed fonts have been chosen for their accessibility to audiences, as well as their marriage of historic and contemporary style.
Similarly, the colours we now use are derived from rich material palettes of traditional and vernacular buildings – buff stone, mahogany, and slate – set against vibrant accents, evoking the creativity and dynamism in our approach.
The new primary colour palette is a harmonious clash of gold referencing quality timeless materials often found in our work – stone, bronze, gilt, and a zesty yellow which brings an unexpected energy to the palette.

Continuity is as important to us as change. Our new visual identity retains our distinctive logo. This has served us well for almost 15 years and we cherish it as part of our own evolving heritage. Based on the enfilade – a feature found in palaces across Europe from the Renaissance period – it references a continuously progressing journey, future opportunities, and of course, historic architecture.
In our architecture, and in the leadership of our practice, we collectively cherish our heritage, continually enabling joyful and inclusive human experiences in all we create. Our new website is no exception.
