A practicing architect with more than 14 years' experience across architecture and design, Tim Whitcombe joined Purcell as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Partner in 2026.

As COO, Tim works closely with project and studio leadership teams across the practice to strengthen project performance, governance, and delivery, ensuring projects are delivered with clarity, accountability and care, while reinforcing the link between strong business performance and Purcell’s wider purpose.

Tim’s expertise spans operational strategy, governance, resource management, and the development of inclusive workplace cultures. He has played a key role in implementing scalable systems, strengthening performance measures, and supporting resilient, effective organisations.
