Sonoe Shimizu  

Sonoe joined Purcell in 2014 and has worked on both new build and refurbishment projects of various sizes. She is particularly experienced in public sector works such as museum, education and community projects.

She is keen to create accessible space for all, paying attention to those who face physical challenges asvwell as those with hidden disabilities.

In her spare time, she is a keen volunteer at her local allotment and has also campaigned to save Ancoats Dispensary, a Grade II-listed former hospital. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she volunteered at a local secondary school giving out food parcels in support of Marcus Rashford’s campaign to tackle child food poverty.
