Sam Hustler  

Sam joined Purcell in 2025 and has since been working with the Our Town Hall team, refurbishing the Grade I-listed Alfred Waterhouse designed Manchester Town Hall.

An accomplished senior architect, he brings over 23 years of experience in the technical delivery of major new-build projects as well as complex space planning and refurbishment schemes across the UK. He has delivered projects across multiple sectors, including healthcare and education, and has proven expertise in leading and coordinating large, multi-disciplinary consultant teams as lead architect, consistently delivering work on time and within budget.

A strong communicator, Sam builds rapport effortlessly with clients and end users, and works collaboratively with all stakeholders to drive projects from initial concept through to successful completion. 

 His work on the Manchester Town Hall project has strengthened his knowledge of heritage and conservation, broadening his understanding of traditional materials, architectural detailing, and the complexities of working with historic fabric.
