Ruth brings a wealth of experience to Purcell, having led a range of significant and complex projects across the heritage and contemporary sectors across nearly two decades. Her experience encompasses both public and private sector work, with a particular focus on large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects that demand strategic oversight, clear communication, and collaborative delivery.

Ruth is passionate about the intersection of heritage and contemporary design, and is committed to delivering thoughtful, inclusive, and sustainable solutions. She has a strong interest in universal design, developed through her work on accessibility interventions in historic environments. She is currently working on the British Museum project as part of the wider collaborative design team under Lina Ghotmeh Architects.

Outside of practice, Ruth enjoys long-distance walking and is a classic car enthusiast, often taking her 1957 vehicle to events around the UK. Her appreciation for post-war and modernist architecture also informs her broader professional interests.
