Rachel is a dedicated architect with broad experience across a range of projects, specialising in the education sector.

She brings a strong eye for detail and interior design finishes, and enjoys collaborating closely with clients and stakeholders to create spaces that genuinely enhance the experience of their end users. 

Recognised for her clear communication and practical problem-solving skills, Rachel is committed to delivering thoughtful, functional, and inspiring environments for clients, educators, and students alike. Her relationships with clients and project teams are founded on authenticity, respect, and a shared sense of purpose. 

A positive and collaborative leader, Rachel has experience managing teams of all sizes, supporting and empowering each member to grow and contribute to the success of every project. 

Rachel recently completed the refurbishment of Building 54, the Department of Mathematics at the University of Southampton, and is currently leading work on Cheltenham Ladies’ College’s new Sixth Form Centre. Before joining Purcell’s Bristol Studio, Rachel was based in Melbourne, Australia, where she delivered the state’s largest specialist education school.
