Miranda McCabe  

With an MSc in the Conservation of Historic Buildings, Miranda has always been passionate about working in the historic built environment, with a particular interest in the sensitive juxtapositions that can be created between old and new, through understanding both the nature of the place and its users.

Her holistic approach to design has seen her commence training as an interior designer, complimenting her architectural education and experience.

Since joining Purcell in 2021, Miranda led the successful planning and listed building consent application for the comprehensive redevelopment of a significant Grade II*-hotel in central London. The application sought for a five storey basement, seven storey extension, infill courtyard, and full refurbishment of the existing hotel itself.

Miranda is also the project architect for Purcell on the NG200 Project, where we are providing lead consultant, principal designer, heritage architect and consultancy services. With a developing expertise in complex listed building and planning applications, Miranda also oversaw the successful consents granted for this project, which has now completed.

As co-lead of the cultural sector at Purcell, Miranda’s role seeks to consolidate and enhance our established work within the sector.

In 2019, Miranda was awarded WICE Young Woman Architect of the Year.
