Kristie McAreavey
Kristie is a Senior Architect specialising in the conservation and adaptive reuse of historic buildings.
She has a particular interest in projects where careful investigation informs contemporary interventions, enabling historic places to evolve while retaining their distinct character and sense of place. Her work spans civic, cultural, ecclesiastical and horticultural heritage projects, often bringing together building conservation, landscape and historic environments.
Alongside project delivery, Kristie is a registered RIBA Principal Designer, bringing a considered approach to design coordination and risk management. She studied Architecture at the University of Sheffield and continues to contribute to architectural education through guest lectures and technical teaching.
Away from practice, she can usually be found exploring the Peak District in search of a good hill and a hidden corner of the landscape.
