John Rutherford  

John is an Associate Partner at Purcell, and has worked for the practice since 1996.

He is a highly experienced project architect with a strong focus on the conservation, repair and creative reuse of historic buildings. His projects are characterised by careful attention to detail along with clear minded design and repair solutions to theissues presented by historic structures.

His deep technical knowledge of the use of modern and traditional materials and building techniques across many building types informs his work, including on projects including Madeira Terrace and Chatham Historic Dockyard Kent.
