John Bacon  

John joined Purcell in 2024 and is based in our Manchester studio. He is currently part of the Our Town Hall team, refurbishing the Grade I-listed Alfred Waterhouse-designed Manchester Town Hall.

Working on the Our Town Hall project has strengthened his knowledge in heritage and conservation, deepening his understanding of traditional materials, detailing, and the challenges of working with historic fabric.   

Alongside his heritage work, John has extensive experience delivering large-scale residential schemes,including mixed-use developments, and has developed specialist expertise in volumetric modular construction and MMC.
