Joe Witchell
Joe Witchell is Regional Partner for the London and South-East region and main Board member. Joe has over 25 years of post-qualification experience, leading the design and delivery of large-scale, complex mixed-use developments both in the UK and internationally.
Joe is highly respected for building high-performing teams and steering complex projects from inception to completion. He consistently delivers successful outcomes for both private and public sector clients across a diverse range of building typologies.
He is currently leading a multidisciplinary design team to transform the Bank of England’s Grade 1 listed headquarters in the City of London. The project aims to overhaul core infrastructure and reimagine existing spaces to support contemporary ways of working. By optimising capacity, the project will enable the Bank to vacate its Moorgate offices and consolidate onto its historic site on Threadneedle Street.
Joe is a recognised industry voice and has lectured internationally on urbanism, tall buildings and facade design and an active member of the British Council for Offices.
Outside the studio, Joe trades his workspace for the wild, frequently hiking in the Welsh mountains. Back in the city, he feeds his creativity in London’s art galleries and by seeking fresh perspectives through his camera lens.
