Joe Witchell  

Joe Witchell joined Purcell in 2025 as Regional Partner for the London and South East region and main Board member. He brings with him over 25 years of post-qualification experience, including leading on the design and delivery of large-scale, complex mixed-use developments both in the UK and internationally.

A highly respected leader, Joe has a strong reputation for building high-performing teams and steering projects from inception to completion with clarity, vision, and purpose. His collaborative approach and ability to foster inclusive, creative environments have consistently enabled successful outcomes for clients, colleagues and communities alike.

Joe is also a recognised industry voice—an active member of the British Council for Offices and the Council for Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat—and has lectured internationally on urbanism, tall buildings and facade design.

Outside the office, Joe enjoys the great outdoors and can often be found hiking in his native Wales. He is also passionate about photography, art galleries, tennis and rugby.
