Jack Chui   徐聖傑

Jack is a Senior Architectural Conservationist. With extensive experience in the conservation of historic buildings in Hong Kong, he combines technical expertise, research, and academic leadership to help safeguard heritage assets and inform best practice in conservation.

Based in Hong Kong, Jack has extensive experience in the conservation of historic buildings and structures, with a particular understanding of the city’s historic fabric, traditional construction techniques, and heritage materials. As a member of Purcell’s Technical Leadership Group and one of the studio’s technical leads, he works across a wide range of conservation projects, undertaking condition assessments, developing conservation strategies, overseeing technical documentation, and managing site works to ensure the highest standards of quality, authenticity, and craftsmanship.

Jack studied Urban Planning at Sun Yat-sen University and Architectural Conservation at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he developed a strong commitment to the protection of cultural heritage. His research contributed to the identification and protection of Hong Kong’s oldest surviving shophouse at 120 Wellington Street, which is now designated a Grade I historic building.

Alongside professional practice, Jack is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The University of Hong Kong, where he lectures in architectural conservation for post-graduate students. He is a Professional Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architectural Conservationists (HKICON) and serves on its Membership Committee (2026-2028). He is actively involved in professional development initiatives, delivering CPD programmes and technical training that promote best practice in heritage conservation.
