Helen Beecroft
BA (Hons) MArch ARB RIBA AABC
Helen is an AABC accredited conservation architect with over 15 years experience with working with historic buildings. She is an experienced project lead and enjoying working with complex historic sites.
Since joining Purcell in 2014, Helen has worked on a range of historic buildings, including the award-winning restoration and conversion of the Grade I-listed Ledston Hall into luxury residences. The project successfully removed the building from the Heritage at Risk Register and saw it become the first Grade I-listed building to receive listed building consent for the installation of slimline, metal-leaded double-glazed windows.
Helen recognises the importance of identifying sustainable new uses for vacant historic sites to secure their long-term preservation. She takes a creative and sensitive approach to adapting and upgrading historic buildings, enabling them to meet modern standards while improving thermal performance and respecting their heritage significance.
