David Burne

With over 30 years’ professional experience, David has undertaken a broad range of projects across South West England, and Wales, involving work to some of the region’s finest historic buildings, and significant new buildings in sensitive, historic settings.
David has recently overseen the completion of several award-winning projects, including Kresen Kernow (home for Cornwall’s Archives) for Cornwall Council, and the major refurbishment and extension of the Grade II-listed visitor reception building at The National Museum of History, for the Museum of Wales. His previous projects include a new glass roof over the Grade I listed Picture Gallery at Attingham Park for the National Trust, and he is currently overseeing a major refurbishment of the Great Hall and Inner East Gatehouse at Caerphilly Castle, for the Welsh Government.
As well as his technical and project running expertise, David is an accredited NEC Supervisor and Principal Designer for CDM and Building Regulations compliance.
