Claire is a conservation accredited senior architect in our York studio.

Having joined Purcell in 2014, she has delivered projects across a range of sectors and building types throughout the North of England and beyond including large and often complex estates such as at Durham Cathedral, Burghley House, Tatton Park and Castle Howard.

Claire’s experience of providing conservation repair and maintenance advice to large organisations, including leading on early-stage masterplans, has led her to working across multiple sectors including cultural, further education, places of worship and high end residential. She is particularly interested in the philosophy and implementation of conservation techniques and the integration of new design within historic settings.

Alongside her role at Purcell, Claire is architect adviser to the Sheffield DAC.
