Bruno Bernardo
BArch ARB OA AABC
Originally from Portugal, Bruno's interest in conservation led him to join Purcell in London in 2015, where his experience delivering complex projects in highly significant settings facilitated his AABC Conservation Accreditation in 2019.
At Purcell, he has delivered projects across a range of sectors and building types throughout London and beyond, including the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Windsor Castle, St. George’s Garrison Church, and Ram Brewery, as well as several private residential schemes.
He is especially passionate about modern heritage and the need to always prioritise adaptive re-use. He is a co-founder of the internal focus group purcell:modern, which devotes itself to the development of knowledge on post-war architecture. Currently, he is studying the International Course on the Conservation of Modern Heritage at the Getty Conservation Institute.
Bruno is an integral part of the London Studio where, as a Team Leader, he takes responsibility for resourcing and has the authority and agency to ensure an agile and effective resourcing service throughout all project stages.
