Two Purcell museum projects shortlisted for Museum of the Year

We are delighted that two Purcell projects have been shortlisted for the Museum of the Year award.

Purcell collaborated with Jamie Fobert Architects to transform the National Portrait Gallery. At the Manchester Museum, Purcell designed a new building to house the South Asia Gallery and completed upgrades to the existing building, improving accessibility and environmental performance.

The shortlisted museums for this year’s Art Fund Museum of the Year prize are shining examples of the impact museums are making locally and nationally. Each of our finalists truly has something for everyone and all have community at the very heart of their programming… I urge everyone to go and visit these extremely special spaces.
