Radley College Chapel crowned Supreme Winner at 2022 Brick Awards
Purcell's sympathetic extension of Radley College's Grade II*-listed Chapel has won several awards at this year's Brick Awards, including the Supreme Winner accolade
In addition to being crowned Supreme Winner, the extension was also awarded the Craftmanship and Contractor’s Choice Awards.
The project was praised by judges for ‘the overall use of brickwork and well-considered complementary materials, which worked fully within a historic context, yet the building is still very much 21st century, vibrant and exciting’.
A triumphant evening for the practice as a whole, the awards ceremony also saw our work on Battersea Power Station (alongside WilkinsonEyre and former Purcell Partner David Hills) presented with the Innovation Award.
