Heritage as a catalyst for regeneration: Purcell to attend UKREiiF 2026

We are excited to be attending UKREiiF 2026, taking place from 19-21 May in Leeds.

Our fringe event, ‘Heritage as a Catalyst for Regeneration’, will bring together experts from architecture, public sector leadership, cultural industries and planning, to examine the strategic, financial and social value elements of heritage-led development.

Through practical methods and real-world examples, the panel will share insights into regeneration through place-making and adaptive reuse, drawing on perspectives from Hull City Council and Purcell. It will also explore how to unlock funding pathways for heritage-led development, with contributions from Norwich County Council and Purcell, offering guidance on building robust funding cases and navigating the process from inception to delivery.

Together, these themes will demonstrate how heritage capital can underpin forward-looking development that delivers long-term benefits for local economies, communities and the environment, creating places that inspire and strengthen resilience.

Across the three days, we’ll be taking part in panel discussions, fringe events, and networking sessions, sharing insights into how heritage can play a central role in delivering net zero, social value, and meaningful regeneration. Our team, Tom Bridgen, Lorna Crane, Jo Bartle, Laura Baron, Joe Witchell, Owen Plummer, Josh Greig, Peter Buist and Abbey Rutherford will be representing Purcell at the event.
